Delta council will finally put our letters on the Agenda for the council meeting to be held in North Delta ( not in Ladner) on March 4th. Please attend. We have asked about the assurance given to former council person Sylvia Bishop that Gateway will segregate Suspicious cash and return it to the player as their winnings. This was then confirmed by them to Delta senior planner Michael Ruskowski. Our council person approved the project based on this “policy”! Please attend. Please advise.

I Amirreza Sabzalian DOB 28 FEB 1981,
As an individual citizen of Vancouver, BC, Canada who had and have and will have gambling addiction. I do not want an approved or existing Edgewater casino or make it bigger or larger in Vancouver.
Addiction to casinos is technically is fight of making money and that would go both ways, for the people who would lose money and the people who would gain money (house or government).
The people who have an addiction are masters of monopolization, nothing would stop them to get their drugs.
In my addiction life there is a lots of time I was hungry and starving and as soon as finding $5 I walk to casino if the casino was little bit far away, would make different story for me.
Bigger casino is bigger excitement, which means more addicted people in community, more relapse.
Addiction to gambling is different than any other drugs (take this from the person who have just have pure gambling addiction no other drugs)
Just imagine for one second, you can lose whole entire your life, your wife, your kids, your family,… and your savings within 5 second, you know what that person would do after in that 5 second ? if your answer is yes, you are lying, is unpredictable
If you guys want to make revenue from that space, the same way of focusing on casino you could focus on a different way!!
We can use that space for entertainment or dentistry for poor people or low income with volunteering dentist. car card or a lot more things.

The proximity of this casino to a large residential Asian population is a concern. Has any data been gathered on the ethnic makeup of casino users?
Is bclc subsidizing Edgewater too much, can there be adjustment based on their revenue?

Is this not actually an expansion of gaming facilities? There are no private gaming salons at Edgewater now?
